La VAE aide-soignant(e), à qui s'adresse-t-elle ?

Laure a obtenu il y a plusieurs années un poste dans le domaine des soins d'hygiène et de confort aux personnes âgées. Passionnée par cette profession, elle a travaillé dans plusieurs EHPAD. Elle a ainsi pu accompagner les personnes en difficulté. Être à l'écoute des personnes et les aider est pour elle une véritable passion. Aujourd'hui, elle aimerait valider un diplôme d'aide-soignante afin de mieux gagner sa vie et de valoriser ses compétences.

Laure a donc cherché une façon simple de réussir sa carrière sans pour autant abandonner son travail actuel. Pour cela, elle s'est tournée vers la Validation des Acquis de l'Expérience. Sa carrière dans les soins aux personnes lui permet de constituer facilement son dossier. En premier lieu, elle devra travailler sur son livret 1 VAE aide-soignante. Ce livret de recevabilité regroupe les preuves des acquis professionnels de Laure. Ce dossier sera étudié par les autorités sanitaires de sa région. Une fois sa recevabilité reconnue, Laure devra constituer un dossier de présentation des acquis - ou livret 2 VAE aide-soignante, dans lequel elle va présenter ses aptitudes en détail. Laure devra ensuite passer un entretien oral avec un jury.

Quelles expériences pour devenir aide-soignant(e) ?

Pour obtenir le Diplôme d'État d'aide-soignant, il faut avoir les bonnes expériences. Celles-ci devront être en relation avec les huit grandes compétences des aides-soignant(e)s. Ces aptitudes ont pu être acquises lors d'une collaboration avec le personnel infirmier dans une clinique ou un hôpital par exemple. Le but de l'aide-soignant/e est de préserver et maintenir la continuité des soins sans négliger le confort de la personne. Il est donc impératif de travailler sur deux plans : l'affectif et le physique. Le professionnel ici formé devra donc aider le patient à prendre ses médicaments mais aussi à être plus autonome. Il sera aux côtés du patient et l'aidera à réaliser les actes du quotidien.

Le diplôme va donc sanctionner les candidats dans cette optique. Un aide-soignant devra prodiguer des soins d'hygiène mais aussi de confort aux personnes dont il a la charge. Il devra également garder un œil sur celles-ci, vérifier que tout va bien et prendre si nécessaire les mesures en cas de problème - prévenir un médecin, prendre une glycémie, injecter de l'insuline, etc. Principal collaborateur de l'infirmier, l'aide-soignant va aussi l'aider dans la réalisation des soins. Ce métier ne se limite pas non plus aux personnes. Leur environnement est aussi un point important. Ainsi, l'aide-soignant devra maintenir une chambre propre et des lits bien faits tant en milieu hospitalier qu'en EHPAD.

L'aide-soignant est également un partenaire indispensable à la communication entre les professionnels et le patient. Il fait aussi le lien entre ces derniers et les proches du malade. Il pourra ainsi transmettre ses observations sur l'état de santé d'un patient afin d'aider le médecin à mieux cerner les problèmes. L'aide-soignant doit être aussi capable d'expliquer clairement une pathologie aux proches et de leur indiquer au mieux les soins à prodiguer au patient. Dans le cadre de son métier, le professionnel devra parfois installer le matériel adéquat pour aider à la mobilité des patients. L'aide-soignant pourra également être sollicité pour accueillir des stagiaires et les accompagnera tout au long de leur formation. Enfin, le diplôme va mettre en avant le sens de l'organisation de l'aide-soignant et son adaptabilité que ce soit en travail d'équipe ou en autonomie.

▸ Comment faire une VAE aide-soignante ?
